In the absence of truth, there can be only lies. Ugly lies and dissimulation, portraiting the very essence of the individual at hand. When did these character flaws replace common sense and decent humanity? Where did everyone go wrong? I doubt that we will ever find the answer to these questions and it saddens me. I have unfortunately seen the ugly face of these events every day throughout my life as I know it. I have witnessed it with my own eyes as it bore harm against me and my loved ones. I have read about it and watched it happen to others and I have been told the tales of such events from before my days.
Is it so, that this in fact is not a character flaw in the human, but a core quality in our true nature? Throughout history it has always been there, all around us, infesting our minds and our societies. Maybe humanity as a feature is a psychological utopia, unreachable to mankind. A simple illusion, a fable and a creation of our own deceitful minds, with the sole purpose to give us hope of a better tomorrow.
Humanity, as a species, nothing more than liars, beggars and impure bastards.
If we ever want to wake up, we have to stop lying to ourselves in order to stop lying to eachother.
